Another interesting trivia tidbit is that even with broadband becoming more accessible and faster, the average web page became 4% slower to load during 2012.
A likely reason for this is that as more bandwidth has become available, designers and developers have gobbled up any benefit by adding more bling and functionality to web sites. How much of that is actually useful is in the eyes of the beholder, but something that is certain is the World Wide Wait is still very much alive and well.
The notion that FaceBook users are a young bunch has also been dashed in the stats - it seems the average FaceBook users is 40.5 years old.
